hat a great weekend! a most welcome addition to out holiday! Sandy and I had a great time with great company and the Hotel was 1st class! Black hand once more in perfect performing mode....and again among the 'last men standing'....Recommends all round! Can see the B13's winging their way towards the deserving recipients....

Bar prices were heavy, however no more than I expected from a Hotel of this standard. Bar and food at such places is always 'up there'....

From a personal perspective I did not mind the bar prices too much....would rather that than poor service, rooms and food.

Swings and roundabouts shippers, swings and roundabouts!

Standing by for 'in coming'! eek!

Won't be over again for a few years I guess, 2014 is a possibility however a lot of steaming hours till then.

Best to all.....take care

I'm sorry - Clean forgot to mention it in my last posting:
I'm still putting together a register for BJ on people's preferences for a venue for our 2013 re-union
I've got almost half the replies back so could I please ask the rest of you guys to drop me an E mail with your ideas
No need to write lengthy letters etc. Just something like "Hi Whiskey - Florida would be nice"
That'll do for me thanks one and all

Quite a few queried the White Ensign on the SS Great Britian - hopefully herewith the answer
Q. Why does the ss Great Britain fly the white ensign?
A. The ss Great Britain is presented today dressed overall as a historic presentation of the launch of the ship on the 19th July 1843. This historical presentation is as accurate as it is possible to achieve, down to the flag that flies at her stern. The evidence for the appearance of the white ensign at her stern on the day of her floating out from the Great Western Dockyard is compelling: On the day of her launch, the ss Great Britain was attended by Prince Albert, so given that the Queens’ Consort and a military band were on board the ship on launch day, the white ensign was likely to have been seen as appropriate.Logic dictates that the white ensign be flown at her stern today in just the same way that the ship interiors look the way they

Sorry guys - Complete system breakdown: Could you all please E mail me with your venue preferences for 2013:
This IS important so please spare a couple of minutes to let me know your favoured venue (and also any venue you DON'T want to go back to)
Thanks everyone - Trying to help BJ out with a bit of the paper-work etc.

Hope everyone got home safe and sound this year and that you all had as good a time as I did?

Thanks to you as well for putting up with that bloody camera in your faces all weekend (I actually got called 2 brand new names this year - Neither complimentary)
